Arm of the Sphinx

This the follow-up to Senlin Ascends, the second in a four-book series. I found it just generally worse than the first one: the worldbuilding started feeling more and more generic, and the main character lost his clumsy charm. Finishing this one was a bit of a drudge so I think I won’t get around to finding out what happens at the end of the series, unfortunately.
