The Middle Years

The Middle Years is a good short story, but did not touch me as much as The Aspern Papers. It is a story of a man coming to terms with the fact that time’s up, and he has accomplished everything he ever will. I find this sentiment hard to relate to (for now), which might be why it didn’t move me that much.
